Mulla flays energy saving plan

KARA CHI - Former Chairman Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association Bilal Mulla has criticised the government and rejected the system of Energy Saving Plan announced by the Prime Minister yesterday. He said this in a statement issued here on Friday. Bilal Mulla said that the present economic situation need to increase efficiency in public as well as private sector to overcome present economic crisis facing the country but the present government do not have any vision or direction in order to face the issue of the country. There is an extremely need to increase working hours in order to increase efficiency but government has announced closure of one more working day in a week, why government not announced seven days holiday, he added. He demanded of the government that all the departments relating to Customs for import and exports must be work for six days a week and Customs clearance on all export points like seaports and airports must be work 24/7 a week in order to smooth clearing of export cargo. All banking and financial sector, under umbrella of State Bank of Pakistan should work on six days including SBP Clearing, Similarly all commercial organisation like TDAP, Ministry of commerce, Ministry of Textile, under federal, provisional or local government should also works 6 days, he further added.
