ISLAMABAD - Country's jewellery and gems exports witnessed positive growth during last fiscal year (2011-12). The jewellery exports grew by 128.77pc during the period under review as against the corresponding period of last year. The jewellery exports during the year 2011-12 were recorded at $921.855m against that of $402.967m during the year 2010-11, revealed the data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). On month on month basis, the exports of jewellery increased from $54.597m in June 2011 to $67.094m in June 2012, recording an increase of 278.17pc during the period under review. The export of jewellery during June 2012 over the pervious month of same year also jumped by 314 per cent.
