CNG price to be slashed by Rs 30; Ogra issues notification

Pakistan's Oil and Gas Regulation Authority (Ogra) on Thursday ordered reduction in the price of CNG by Rs 30.90, issuing a notification in this regard following directions by the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, the CNG association has rejected the price reduction, writing a letter to the regulatory body in protest of the reduction.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan, in its interim order earlier on Thursday, had declared the mechanism of basing CNG prices on the price of petrol illegal, ordering Ogra to revise prices by Nov 1.
