KARACHI - Pakistan is a beautiful country and we appreciate the Pakistani people who have deep sentiments for Italy and strive to promote better relations between the two countries.

These views were expressed by Consul of Italy in Karachi Roberto Franceschinis at a reception held to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Italian Republic, says a Press release.
In his address, Franceschinis thanked Italian Ambassador to Pakistan, Vincenzo Prati for visiting Karachi and being a part of the celebrations. He said there is a special bond between Italy and Pakistan and efforts need to be made to enhance relations.
Ambassador Vincenzo Prati in a brief speech said he was sad to leave at the end of his tenure, but happy he would keep coming to Pakistan as he was involved with a project in which Politecnico di Milano and Bahauddin Zakaria University are working together for the restoration and rehabilitation of a section of the historic city of Multan. Mr Prati said he was leaving Pakistan with a lot of great memories and a large circle of friends spread all over Pakistan.
