Traders be allowed to open shops till 9 pm

RE - President Quami Tajir Ittehad Irfan Iqbal Sheikh has demanded the government that keeping in view the hot weather conditions traders should be allowed to keep open their shops till 9:00 pm.
According to a Press release issued on Thursday, he further said that the govt should reconsider its decision regarding closure of shops before 8:00 pm and the shopkeepers should be given one-hour extension in this regard from June 1, 2010.
He was addressing the meeting of Mall Road Traders Association. He also warned the government that the traders would take to streets if the government imposed Value Added Tax (VAT) and Property Tax as businesses are already under immense pressure due to various reasons.
