HPL files complaint to CCP against refineries
KARA CHI - Hascol Petroleum Limited (HPL) has filed an appeal to Competition Commission of Pakistan to highlight the non-competitive, unethical activities carried out by National Refinery Limited and Attock Refinery Limited; which specifically includes non-availability/ supply of products to Hascol Petroleum Limited, says a press release. Being aggrieved by the practices indulged into in abuse of the dominant position enjoyed by the two refineries in the market that prevent, restrict, reduce and distort competition, in contravention of the provisions of chapter-II of the Competition Act, 2010. Hascols objective is to ensure that fair practices are exercised in the oil-marketing sector and expects prompt action by the regulatory authorities.
