Railways gets Rs 2.60b for salaries and pensions

ISLAMABAD - The Finance Ministry on Thursday released Rs 2.60 billion to Pakistan Railways in terms of subsidy for giving PR officials’ salaries and pensions.

Finance Ministry officials informed The Nation that the government has released this amount (Rs 2.60 billion) so that cash-starved Pakistan Railways could pay salaries and pensions to its employees in the upcoming month of September. Officials further informed that every month Finance Ministry gives sufficient amount to Pakistan Railways for salaries and pensions.
