The Petroleum Ministry has decided to impose 10 percent development surcharge on CNG from February, Secretary Petroleum revealed during a briefing to National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Resources. The committee, which met here with MNA Talib Nakai in the chair, also discussed LNG import project. Secretary Petroleum said that people had been held hostage by transporters, who were charging them excessive fares despite shift their vehicles to CNG from diesel.
