ISLAMABAD – Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani on Friday said that he had clarified about the North Waziristan operation and those, who failed to comprehend him, should read his statement again. He said they would decide about the timing and operational details of any action in North Waziristan themselves. Talking to journalists after a ceremony at the GHQ in Rawalpindi, he said there was no important reason behind the postponement of General Allen’s visit to Pakistan, who did not come because of his engagements. Kayani made it clear that no foreign troops would be used in the operation in the restive tribal district, but added that the cooperation in the on-going war on terror would continue.
