BRIT ISH Prime Minister David Cameron seems to have a fascination for the Royals. As a 14-year-old, he slept out on a London street just to join Prince Charles and Dianas wedding celebrations. The British PM has claimed that he had travelled to London for the big occasion in 1981 with brother Alex, sister Tania and pals. They had arrived at 10 AM to secure a close-up view, and later camped out on the spot with sleeping bags and flasks of strong tea, The Sun reported. The first-in-line to the British throne and Princess Diana got married on 29 July 1981. The wedding was televised and watched by a global audience of over 750 million people. Talking about Prince William's engagement, Cameron said, Im sure lots of people will want to celebrate in lots of different ways. I remember when I was young, when Williams mother got married, I slept on The Mall that night and joined the celebrations. HT The PM described the atmosphere on the wedding day of Prince Charles and Diana, who was killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997, as brilliant. In fact, it was Cameron who on Friday broke the news of William, the second-in-line to the British throne, and Kate Middletons engagement in October to his cabinet colleagues who he claimed reacted with a great cheer. Prince Charles Clarence House also said that he was delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton. It said the couple got engaged last month during a vacation in Kenya. HT
