Morphsuit world record bid

AS many as 145 people gathered at Drayton Manor Theme Park in Tamworth.

This wasn’t just your average get together though... all of the gang were dressed in a slightly cool, slightly terrifying Morphsuit. They beat last year’s number of 112, but bad weather contributed to them falling short of the 250 needed for a place in the record books.
Drayton Park’s managing director Colin Bryan said: “People wear these Morphsuits for all sorts of occasions, from sporting events.”
The park had offered free entry for those Morphs dressed in the park’s official colours (red, blue or yellow), and £5 entry for those in other shades, but it wasn’t enough to push them over the line Inspired by the original zentai bodysuit after a stag weekend, Morphsuits was set up in 2009 by brothers Ali and Fraser Smeaton and their flatmate Gregor Lawson.              –DS
