THEIR Bond girl characters never met during their onscreen escapades. But 007 beauties Britt Ekland, Eunice Gayson and Tania Mallet came face-to-face with each other - at a posh hotel in Buckinghamshire. The trio met up for a special one-off event to mark the 50th anniversary of the James Bond films. Eunice, 84, played the first ever Bond girl, Sylvia Trench, in 1962’s Dr. No and its follow-up From Russia with Love, and she stood out from the other ladies at the photocall in a bright 70’s-inspired blouse. Tania, 71, went for a more demure look in black trousers and a black and white striped drape jacket, a far cry from her look as Tilly Masterson in 1964’s Goldfinger, which starred original Bond Sean Connery. Former pin-up Britt, now 69, was a little more adventurous in a bright turquoise jacket at the bash - almost 40 years since she played Bond’s assistant Mary Goodnight alongside Roger Moore in 1974’s The Man with the Golden Gun. The ladies came together at the Stoke Park hotel in Buckinghamshire to promote the 50 Years of 007 Blu-ray collection. And they channeled their former alter-egos by posing alongside a sleek black sports car. It’s been a busy week for Eunice as the first ever Bond girl - she was given the honour of kicking off the week-long 007 tour at Eilean Donan Castle in the Scottish Highlands, where part of 1999’s The World Is Not Enough, starring Pierce Brosnan as the superspy, was shot. –DM
