Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi assured Pakistan of co-operation in its agriculture sector’s improvement and in resolution of its energy crisis.

Talking to journalists in Beijing Jiechi said that the Chinese leadership was sincere for Pakistan’s economic development and all possible support was being provided in this regard.
While replying to a question on counter-terrorism co-operation the Chinese foreign minister expressed hope that Pakistan would take stringent steps against those backing the extremist elements engaged in negative activities in western China’s Muslim-dominated province of Xinjiang.
