UK may assist Punjab against terrorism: CM

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the Britain may help Punjab in called on combating terrorism and crime control by training of law enforcers in the province.

This he said during the meeting with British Home Secretary Theresa Mary May in London on Wednesday. During the meeting various matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations and cooperation in anti-terrorism came under discussion.
Chief Minister said that establishment of law and order in the  province  and eradication of terrorism is the top most priority of his government.
During meeting he raised the issue of drone attacks in Pakistan and said that collateral damage due to drone attacks is very high as many innocent people are getting killed. He said if terrorism is causing death of innocent persons, many innocent lives are also being lost in drone attacks.
He said that Punjab government had taken the principled stance of not accepting such foreign aid which compromised national dignity and honour since May 2011.
