er Alaska Governor and Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Monday said she could consider the option of running for the presidency in 2012 if circumstances demand. I would. I would, if I believe that that is the right thing to do for our country and for the Palin family. Certainly, I would do so, Ms. Palin told the Fox News in an interview when asked if she would run for president in 2010.
I think that it would be absurd to not consider what it is that I can potentially do to help our country. I dont know if its going to be ever seeking a title, though. It may be just doing a good job as a reporter or covering some of the current events, she said.
Ms. Palin was the vice-presidential mate of Senator John McCain who was the Republican candidate against U.S. President Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential elections.
I wont close a door that perhaps could be open for me in the future. I dont want any American to ever close the door in their personal or their professional lives and put themselves in a box and say, heck, yeah, Im going to do that or no way, Im not going to do that, when we dont know what the future holds, she said.
Ms. Palin said there is a group of advisors who has been sending daily emails about things happening in Washington. She said she is more knowledgeable on foreign policy and national issues than she was two years ago.
Ms. Palin said if the elections were today, she does not think, Mr. Obama would get elected. But three years from now things could change, she added.
