Romney asked over anti-Muslim meet

WASHINGTON - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) called on Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney to clarify his decision to meet privately with a key figure in the Islamophobia movement, retired Lt Gen William “Jerry” Boykin. “Romney would rightfully never meet with an anti-Semite or white supremacist, so why would he meet with an infamous Islamophobe?” said CAIR National Legislative Director Corey Saylor. Boykin is on record asserting that “[Islam] should not be protected under the First Amendment,” that there should be “no mosques in America”.
