At least five people including children were killed and many injured on Wednesday in a low-intensity explosion in Kareli area of Allahabad, Indian media reported. The injured have been taken to nearby hospitals. Police have reached the site of explosion. Most of the victims are children, local police said. The children were playing around a garbage heap when the explosion happened. Officials were investigating the blast however the nature of the explosion was uncertain.
