ISLAMABAD - Unveiling progress report for the last three months, a spokesperson of Islamabad Police told media persons on Tuesday that police arrested 22 criminals and 66 proclaimed offenders during the last three months and recovered four stolen vehicles, 11 tempered vehicles, 382 wine bottles, looted items, five pistols and daggers from their possession.
Police special teams started high vigilance as well as patrolling in the area and succeeded to arrest 22 criminals, 25 gamblers and 66 proclaimed offenders. These special teams recovered four stolen vehicles, 11 tempered vehicles, 295 grams hashish. 382 wine bottles, five pistols, daggers and looted items worth millions of rupees from their possession.
Following the direction of IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan, Margallah police expedited the efforts to complete investigation on the pending cases and challans of 200 cases were submitted into relevant courts during the last three months after completion of fair probe. To curb activities of professional alms-seekers, especially during Ramazan, Margallah police arrested 35 beggars and initiated legal action against them.
