ISLAMABAD – Residents of Airport Housing society are braving the piercing cold without natural gas for the last four days that has badly affected their daily routine. As per details, there is no gas in the entire Airport Society including sector 1, 2, 3, 4, VIP and VIP extension. Children and office goers leave house without taking breakfast and elderly people at home have left with no option but to batter the chilly weather.

Earlier, outraged with persistent unavailability of gas, residents of the society took to the streets and hundreds of them came to Islamabad Expressway blocking it from both ways and pelting stones on the cars.
Residents blamed that some sectors of twin cities are getting gas supply on regular intervals, while some are facing gas shortage, which is unjust and unfair.
Gas shortage is also adversely affecting the commercial activities and restaurant owners are the worst hit in this regard.
Ahmed Jamsaid, who was forced to shut his restaurant for the third consecutive day said,” Using LPG cylinder is out of question as customers cannot afford to pay higher price,” adding, “Under the circumstances, I have no option but to close my small restaurant.”      Residents of Airport Society have demanded the authorities concerned, to rectify the situation immediately and restore gas supply with full pressure.
