Cracked supply line wasting precious water

June 01, 2012

ISLAMABAD - Water has seeped into the shops located in Khadda Market, sector G-7, as the main water supply line cracked. Though the supply line broke quite a while ago yet Directorate Municipal Administration (DMA) has not repaired it.  Irony is that head-office, DMA, is located nearby but still the administration has turned a deaf ear to the problems of traders of the market.

A delegation of traders has sought the attention of Director DMA, Zulfiqar Jadoon to resolve the crisis. Despite his assurance, the problem remains unsolved. The businessmen are of the view that leakage in the supply line, on one hand, has affected their business to a great extent, and on the other, it has also caused acute shortage of water in certain areas. If the issue is not solved, a big mass of water will continue to be wasted.
