ISLAMABAD – With the message of individual participation makes collective progress, Chief Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Islamabad Faisal Sakhi Butt on Thursday inaugurated the development and upgradation of Islamabad Model School for Girls, F-11/3 Bhaikha Syedan.

This inauguration was the first step towards materialising “Own School Programme” launched recently under the banner of ‘Own Islamabad Initiative’ by the Chief Coordinator to PM.
Addressing a gathering of the social dignities, residents of the areas, schoolteachers and students, Butt said that ‘own a school’ drive is the educational chapter of the ‘Own Islamabad Initiative’ - an ingenuous idea to make Islamabad a model metropolis.
The ‘own a school’ drive invites the affluent citizens to own their fabulous city and their fellow citizens by sharing the responsibility of a government school. It includes physical renovation, academic invigoration and functional rejuvenation of the educational facility for hundreds of underprivileged children.
“I am inaugurating it by setting a personal example of owning Islamabad our own city with a believe that all the affluent would contribute towards making our own Islamabad a model metropolis as our participation can revive the lives of our fellow citizens”, maintained Faisal Sakhi Butt
He said that level of education in the federal capital does not correspond with the standards of the modern capital. He said that revolutionary steps would be taken for improving the quality of education in the capital city in collaboration with the private sector.
He said that ‘Own Islamabad Initiative’ would be replicated in other public sectors particularly health and dispensaries would be upgraded on the same pattern.
