Security for Capital intensified

ISLAMABAD - In a bid to maintain law and order in the federal capital, the authorities of Islamabad police on Thursday said they have made comprehensive security arrangements in the city and teams have been made active to cope with any mishap.

Following the directions from SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik, security has been tightened in the city and extra deployment is also made in the various areas to avert any untoward incident. Contingents of Rangers are assisting the Islamabad police in these security arrangements while four officers of SP level would also monitor the security arrangements.
According to a press note issued from the office of Inspector General of Islamabad capital police, combing has been ordered in the slum areas while extra vigilance is being made at bus stands and other public places. Extra deployment of police personnel will be ensured at important locations of the city.
The police commandoes have been deputed around sensitive locations and important buildings while special police teams have also been constituted by each police station for effective patrolling in its respective jurisdiction.
