Interior Rehman Malik has said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and Supreme Court (SC) should take action against Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) over its ties with Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ).
The minister hoped Lahore would move against the banned outfit.
Malik claimed that LeJ was responsible for eighty percent of terror plots across the country, adding that the militants take refuge in Punjab province after conducting terror attacks.
Referring to the dialogue with Taliban, Malik said that the Taliban should lay down their weapons if they were serious in holding talks with the government.
He stressed that the nation needs to unite over the matter of terrorism.
He said the agreement of Punjab government with Transparency International is disappointing. He said it seems that the Punjab Government does not have trust in its machinery.
Rehman Malik said that JUI's All Parties Conference was a good step for the establishment of peace in the country.
He said if Taliban are serious in dialogue they must lay down arms and come to the negotiating table.
