ISLAMABAD - Requesting Islamabad capital territory police’s plea, a local court of Islamabad on Friday extended the judicial remand of a Christian girl, who is an accused of blasphemy, to two more weeks and directed the police to complete investigation as soon as possible.
The capital territory police produced Rimsha before the court of Islamabad judicial magistrate Inamullah Khan on Friday following expiry of earlier remand.  Police requested the magistrate to extend the remand further as investigation was still under its way.  Directing the court to complete investigation as soon as possible and extended judicial remand for two more weeks.  Rimsha’s lawyer told journalists that court’s decision was contrary to his expectation. “We were expecting that court will set the girl free on bail upon expiry of initial detention.
