Broken water pipelines cause water wastage

ISLAMABAD  – The old and broken water pipelines in different areas of twin cities of Islamabad Rawalpindi are causing water wastage.
Talking to this agency, the residents complaining against water wastage said that many roads, lanes and by-lanes are dug up and commuting has become a big problem for motorists and other road users. Despite the pipelines in place, water is yet to reach homes.
Residents said that on one hand, several areas are deprived of water facility and illegal water connections are on full swing but on the other hand large quantity of water is going waste as the majorities of pipelines are broken in the area and inundated roads and street of the area.
The residents have demanded from authorities concerned to take notice of the situation and repair the broken pipelines as soon as possible.
