According to a press note issued from the office of SSP Islamabad police, SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik asked all police officials and station house offices (SHOs) to launch aggressive campaign against those involved in street crimes.
During this drive, he said that police obtained the record of those persons who had ever remained involved in street crimes and arrested 191 criminals. SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has directed all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) to ensure effective patrolling in their jurisdictions and take stern action against the anti-social elements.
During this year, Islamabad Police also arrested 98 gamblers during various raids in the city and recovered stake money and other items worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from them.
The SSP has also directed to ensure vigilance against the suspects and make effective checking at all entry and exit points of the city. “It is our prime responsibility to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens.
Those police officials involved in dereliction of duties or adopting sluggish attitude would not be spared and strict disciplinary action would be taken against them,” the SSP maintained.
