ISLAMABAD - Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman has constituted three single and one division bench to hear over 100 cases during the next week starting from Monday (September 3).
Three single benches include the Chief Justice, Justice Noor-ul-Haq N Qureshi and Justice Muhammad Azim Khan Afridi. The Division bench comprise of Justice Noor-Ul-Haq N. Qureshi and Justice Muhammad Azim Khan Afridi. During the vacations, IHC will hear only bail matters, habeas corpus, and detention matters.
Meanwhile, after the end of summer vacations, the Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial constituted two division benches (DB) and five single benches (SBs) for the Lahore High court Rawalpindi bench in the next week.
According to schedule, DB no.1 will comprise on Justice Kh Imtaiz Ahmed and Justice Shahid Hameed Dar while DB no 2 will comprise on Justice Mehmood Maqbool Bajwa and Mr. Justice Ali Baqar Najafi. Both divisional benches will hear the murder cases and appeals of all kinds. The five single benches will comprise on Justice Kh Imtaiz Ahmed, Justice Shahid Hameed Dar, Justice Mehmood Maqbool Bajwa and Justice Ali Baqar Najafi while Justice Ibadur Rehman Lodhi will hear the cases only on september 3.
