RAWALPINDI - Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Rawal Town has failed to redress the issue of streetlights and uncapped manholes in various parts of the city.
Local lawmakers including member provincial assembly Shehryar Riaz and Raja Hanif expressed concerns over problems faced by citizens due to streetlights during recent meeting called to supervise uplift work in garrison city.
The lawmakers asked district administration to redress the issue of streetlights immediately but RTMA despite passage of several days could not take any concrete step in this connection.
Moreover, large number of manholes were lying uncapped, which could cause untoward incidents, particularly during power outages, as many people received injuries after falling in manholes.
