Work on 6th Road flyover starts

RAWALPINDI – The City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) kicked off the construction work of flyover at Benazir Bhutto Road at the juncture of 6th Road crossing.
The flyover on 6th Road was much needed and it has been the demand of the people since long for it to ease the flow of traffic at rush hours. Now the motorists and commuters have to wait for several minutes in long queues of vehicle at traffic signal installed at 6th Road, which does not only irk the people but also they often get late form their work.
It is the second flyover on Benazir Road which the provincial government has started within a year time. Firstly the flyover at Chandni Chowk has been completed which  considerably reduced the rush on busiest artery of the city.
NLC would supervise the mega project of flyover at 6th Road which would cost a hefty amount of approximately Rs 1000 million. The chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has given the deadline of 100 days for completion of the project.
