RITU threatens strike over CNG price increase

ISLAMABAD - The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Transport Union (RITU) has threatened to call-in an inter-city strike if the government failed to revise CNG prices with immediate effect.   Announcing the plan, president (RITU), Sultan Awan has regretted the problems already being faced by transporters, while being overloaded with this latest curse of increase in CNG tariff.

He reminded that 99% of transporters relied on CNG for their transports, and compared the last known increase, m which was still half way cheaper at Rs.43 per kilo, as compared to latest of Rs.87 per kilo.
