RAWALPINDI - In view to keep sacredness of Shab-e-Bara’at, DCO Rawalpindi has imposed section 144 in Rawalpindi.
According to the section 144, usage of fire crackers and firework is banned while strict security measures are ensured inside and outside all mosques, imam bargahs and other religious places.
Shab-e-Bara’at, the night of reverence, is observed across the country with great religious zeal and fervour. The Muslims would offer special nightlong prayers to seek forgiveness and Allah Almighty’s blessing on this occasion to achieve success in the world and the hereafter. Houses, streets and mosques are decorated with colourful pennants and buntings whereas at night these were well illuminated by means of electric lights, candles or even oil lamps. Besides, people would visit graves of their near and dear ones, seeking Allah Almighty’s blessings for the departed souls. Special security arrangements have been made for peaceful observance of the blessed night throughout the country.
