Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Senator Rehman Malik has said that the government would provide security to NATO containers for the first few days and later the contractors will have to make their own security arrangements. Talking to media at the Parliament House on Friday, Rehman Malik said that provinces would be responsible for the security of NATO containers in their jurisdiction. In Karachi and Punjab, Rangers have been given the task of security which will be monitored by the Inspectors General of Police. In Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, Police and FC will be responsible for the security. He said the government will implement the decision taken for the reopening of supplies. In reply to a question, Rehman Malik challenged Difah-e-Pakistan Council that it would not be able to realize its dream of a long March. He warned that if the DPC tried to take law in its hand, the law would take its course. He said though he has given up dual nationality but was still in its favour. He said even if dual nationality is allowed, only Mahmood and Anwar(Meaning Pakistani Muslims) will become Prime Ministers of the country and not Tom and Harry. Malik said he is a Pakistani and would like to be buried in Islamabad. He said he has already given a WILL that he should be buried in Islamabad. The Advisor on Interior said he respects the courts and will appear in all the petitions filed against him. To another question, he said Mian Brothers should tell the nation about 32 million dollars. He said Mian brothers have a different standard of apology which cannot be followed by the government. He alleged that the Punjab government motivated government employees against the Federal government and now they have turned against Punjab Government. He said those trying to bring down the government would have to wait a little more.
