ISLAMABAD – Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Friday declared the results of Secondary School Certificate Part-I Annual Examination 2012, with the pass percentage of 57.17.
According to the details, 72960 regular and ex-private candidates appeared in the examination and 41711 candidates could pass it. A total of 60796 regular candidates appeared in the exams and 39202 students passed, giving a success rate of 64.48 percent. While 12164 private and ex-candidates appeared in the exams and 2509 passed it with the pass percentage of 20.63.
Among the regular candidates, 51504 students including 32304 males and 19200 female students appeared in Science group and 34534 passed the exams with the pass percentage of 67.05. However, in Humanities group, 9292 students including 1834 males and 7458 female students appeared in the exams and 4668 students passed with the percentage of 50.24. Among the Ex-private candidates, 8136 students including 5778 male and 2358 female students appeared in the Science group and 1798 students passed the exams with the pass percentage of 22.10.
While in the Humanities group, 4028 candidates including 2012 male and 2016 female students appeared in the exams and 711 passed with the pass percentage of 17.65.
This year, 18 unfair means cases were reported and 08 cases have been decided through adopting a judicious procedure.
