RAWALPINDI – The educational boards of Punjab have increased inspection fee by 100 per cent for private schools.
According to new schedule, first inspection fee was increased from Rs 8,000 to Rs 20,000 while annual re-visit fee was also increased from pervious Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000. On the other hand, private schools representative bodies and administration has threatened to launch massive protest and demanded government to reverse in the surge in inspection fee.
All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association divisional presidents Ibrar Ahmad Khan said that Punjab government had remitted exam fee from all state-run schools some two years back which rendered Rs1.25 billion loss annually to educational broads and resultantly boards started receiving high fee from students of private schools, adding that now inspection fees was increased by 100 per cent.
