Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira has stated in categorical terms that dissolution of the election commission is not constitutionally possible.

Talking to the media persons here in Islamabad on Friday‚ he said the same was conveyed during talks with Tahirul Qadri in Islamabad and Lahore.
To a question‚ the information minister strongly rejected objections of Pakistan Muslim League (N) on the commission of creation of new provinces.
He said the PML (N) and the Punjab government were requested time and again to nominate their members for the commission but they did not suggest any names. Leadership of the PML (N) is confused on several issues and it should first of all bring clearity in its stance, he said.
To another question‚ Qamar Zaman Kaira ruled out delay in general elections.
