'Imam Hussain's (AS) martyrdom base for just social system'
MABAD - Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza has said that the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) provides a base for the establishment of a just social system having human dignity and high moral values of collective welfare and development.
In her message on the occasion of 10th Muharram, the Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza said that on this day Muslims throughout the world were in sorrow over the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain(AS) and the tragedy of Karbala.
She said that that the Karbala's happening had given a lesson to all Muslims that they should not hesitate to sacrifice their lives for the promotion of sublime principles of Islam.
She said that the sprit of sacrifice and courage upholds the Muslim traditions of safeguarding their faith, sense of truthfulness and fight for the principles.
She said that that the sacrifice of Imam Hussain demands from Ummah to shun all type of differences, hatreds and vested interests and start following the true path of tolerance and brotherhood.
Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza said that sacrifice rendered by Imam Hussain(AS) along with his companions was the peerless example of the values of humanity, patience, perseverance, courage and determination.
Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Khan Kundi said in his message that the event of 10th Muharram is the lasting example of fight for truth and principles in the annals of Islamic history.
He said that Jihad fought by Hazrat Imam Hussain(AS) and his companions is the shining minaret of sacrifice truth and patience. He said that the event of Karbala gives us the message not to hesitate from any sacrifice for the cause of Islamic values and principle.
"Let us resolve to give up all kind of differences and get united to develop a comprehensive strategy for combating terrorism, eliminating militancy and extremism from our country and the region," Deputy Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Khan Kundi added.
