Haj scam: IHC dismisses bail plea of Rao Shakeel

The Islamabad High Court on Friday dismissed bail plea of former director general Haj affairs Rao Shakeel in Haj corruption case.

The court had reserved verdict after counsel for the accused completed his argument on Friday.
The lawyer told the court his client was imprisoned for the last two years despite the fact that he had not caused delay in trial.
He prayed to the court that his client be released on bail as former religious affairs minister Hamid Saeed Kazmi got bail on the same ground.
Federal Investigation Agency prosecutor Chaudhry Zulfiqar told the court that trial could not be concluded due to delaying tactics by the accused.
