PC-1 sent to CM for approval

RAWALPINDI - PC-1of the project for construction of an underpass between Judicial Complex and the District Courts has been sent to Punjab Chief Minister, Mian Shahbaz Sharif for final approval.

The project would cost Rs50 million. Talking to INP, President District Bar Association, Sajid Ilyas Bhatti said that the underpass was the need of the time as eight accidents had occurred in the last few days due to the busy road. He said that crossing the road between the Judicial Complex and the district courts had become very risky owing to the heavy traffic.
He said that the district administration had promised to install signals and mark zebra crossing on the road but that could not be fulfilled yet.
The construction of the underpass was the safest option in this regard, he said, adding the problem of the VIP movement on the road would also be resolved in this way.
