AIOU sets up admission form collection points



ISLAMABAD  – Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has set up sale points for collection of admission forms in different area of Rawalpindi and Attock districts. Besides, the sale points at the university’s main campus in Islamabad, the forms are also available at regional campuses and coordinating offices throughout the country.
    The sale points are: Govt Girls High School, Chore Company, Govt Boys High School Malhawali, Govt Boys High School Chub, Spronagaz College Doltana, Tehsil Gujar Khan, Govt High School Jabar and Civil College Dhemyal.
Admissions for the Semester Autumn, 2012 from Matric to MA/MSc level programmes are continue across the country. The last date for the admission is August 24. Admission forms alongwith prescribed fee can be deposited in all branches of Habib Bank Ltd., First Women Bank, Bank Alfalah and Allied Bank as well as in the nominated branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Muslim Commercial Bank. Detail of the nominated branches is available in the prospectuses and in the Regional Campuses of the University.
Meanwhile, the University will announce its results of FA, BA and all post-graduate programmes by the middle of this month. The final results of Metric, ATTC, PTC, CT, BEd and PhD Chemistry for the Semester Autumn, 2011 have already been declared and placed it on AIOU’s website.
The entire process of announcing the result on the scheduled dates has been expedited to facilitate students to continue their next study without any delay, this was stated by Prof Dr Nazir Ahmed Sangi, Vice-Chancellor AIOU while talking with a group of students.
He said AIOU’s retention rate for the continuation of the future study is highest as compared to other universities, whiling maintaining quality of its educational programme. Efforts are underway to ensure access of quality education across the country, he added.
