RAWALPINDI  – The City District Administration has finalised all security arrangements for the upcoming Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr to avoid any untoward incident in the city.
Police high-ups have deputed snipers on rooftops of buildings located adjacent to important public places such as mosques, government installations and offices across the city.
The personnel deputed at city’s police stations have also been directed to keep a vigilant eye on all crowded places situated in their respective jurisdictions. The steps have been taken in the wake of increasing rush in markets before Eid and the upcoming Chand Raat.
The police high-ups have passed on strict directions to police officials to ensure patrolling in their respective areas and pay surprise visits at police pickets set up within their jurisdictions.
On the other hand, bomb disposal squad has been kept on a high alert besides on the eve of Chand Raat and Eid, more than 3,000 police officials will be performing duties in this regard.
Meanwhile public has been requested to cooperate with the police in curbing terrorist elements in the city and immediately inform the authorities, after observing any suspicious movement in any area of the city.
