ARF set up to deal with sit-ins, marches

ISLAMABAD – Anti-Riots Force (ARF) has been set up to deal with any untoward situation during sit-in and long march in the federal capital. Sources said interior ministry has cleared the samples of special equipment imported from US and Japan in order to equip the  ARF and has accorded approval to purchase these equipments. Sources said these equipments will be provided to special squad of anti riots force which is being imparted training in this regard. Sources said such equipments were used by US intelligence agency Black water during war in Iraq. Sources said these equipments were imported from US on emergency basis when Dr Tahir ul Qadri staged sit in and talked of occupying parliament on many occasions during his sit in. Samples of these equipments have been cleared and letter has been sent  to finance ministry for release of funds. These equipments include electric shock rods, sleeping spray and lighting torch, which will be used during any resistance by the demonstrators against police. Sources said this force will also be provided electric rods and their use will render the protesters numb for at least 10 minutes. Sleeping spray will be used to arrest the key leaders of the demonstrations. Use of this spray will render its victims fainted enabling the police to arrest them easily without facing any resistance.
