ECP likely to suspend membership of 283 lawmakers

The Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to suspend the membership of 283 parliamentarians who did not declare their assets from October 15, media reports quoting sources said on Tuesday.

“Almost 891 out of 1174 MP’s of Senate, National and Provincial Assemblies have apprised the ECP about their assets,” report said.
The report added that the ECP had asked 283 MP’s to submit the details of their assets by October 15 otherwise their membership would be suspended.
