104 militants killed in Khyber, Orakzai regions

The
troops killed 104 militants in Khyber and Orakzai tribal regions, reports said. In Khyber region, jet fighters pounded at militant hideout in Sarawela area of tehsil Jamrud killing 45 suspected militants and injuring more than 70 others. According to an official army helicopters targeted militants in the town of Baizoti in Orakzai tribal region killing 54 suspected insurgents. The forces had launched a search operation in the region on Friday. A militant commander Syed Mohammed also said to be among the dead insurgents. Orakzai has become a key destination for Pakistani Taliban militants fleeing an army offensive against their network in the South Waziristan tribal region. Moreover, five militants were killed in fighting with troops in Sararogha area of South Waziristan region.
