ISLAMABAD  – PAIMAN Alumni Trust organized a discussion forum on `Mothers for Change’ in connection with International Women Day here on Saturday and engaging youth to bring change in mindset.
The participants were of the opinion that in struggle against violent extremism and terrorism, the real objective should be to focus on winning the hearts and minds of the affected people, particularly the youth who are more susceptible to distorted ideologies.
Sharing his views on the occasion, Chairman PAIMAN Trust, Brig (R) Shafqat Mehmood said, “It is important to ensure that while the Government of Pakistan deals with terrorists with an iron hand, they do not misguide people any further and compel them to join their ranks.”
He further said there is also dire need to address conditions that engendered feelings of haplessness and deprivation among the people particularly the mothers.
