The Government will soon announce a policy for overseas Pakistanis under which seats will be reserved for them in Senate and National Assembly. This was announced by Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Dr. Farooq Sattar at a news conference here on Wednesday. He said that overseas Pakistanis constitute 7 to 9 percent of the Pakistani population and they cannot be neglected. Earlier‚ Dr. Farooq Sattar distributed cheques among the Kuwait-Iraq war affectees. Addressing on the occasion‚ he said that 700 million rupees are being distributed among 27000 affectees throughout the country. He said that cheques worth twenty-thousand rupees have been dispatched to the affectees on their residential addresses.
