ISLAMABAD - Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Engineer Farkhand Iqbal, has said that CDA will construct new multipurpose sports grounds in the federal capital to facilitate residents and promote healthy activities.
The CDA Chairman said that the Authority was taking all-out measures to establish sports facilities in the city, adding that sports facilities would enable the people from all walks of life especially the youth to participate in healthy activities.
He urged the youth to actively participate in sports events of their choice instead of wasting their time in internet and other negative activities. He said that CDA will organize different sports events in the city to attract the youngsters towards sports activities.
He said that on the direction of President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, CDA would construct International Cricket Stadium in Islamabad, adding that CDA has already allotted land to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the purpose.
