Denmark Foreign Minister Villy Sovndal calls on Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in Prime Minister’ House here in Islamabad on Wednesday.

They discussed ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various sectors ranging from trade, energy, communication, education and high level exchanges.
The Denmark Foreign Minister congratulated the Prime Minister for continuity of the democratic process in Pakistan adding that the smooth transition would take place which would be immensely important for Pakistan and the world.
Foreign Minister Villy Sovndal appreciated Pakistan’s role as a front line state in the war against extremism and terrorism.
The Danish Foreign Minister said that he was looking forward to a positive out come tomorrow in the European Union Council regarding Autonomous Trade Package which would entitle Pakistan to have access to European Union.
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani extended invitation to the Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning Schmidt to visit Pakistan and felicitated Denmark on assuming the rotating Presidency of the European Council for the seventh time.
