ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Professional & Technical Training, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, chaired a meeting of Board of Governor of National Education Foundation.
Nasir Hayat. To stop the ghost schools in provinces and Federal units the responsibility will be given to EDOs Education in respective places. They will monitor that whether these schools are working properly are not and all schools whose teachers CNICs have not be verified by NADRA will be closed. It is told to the BoG that investment of Rs 61 million in National Bank of Pakistan has matured on 25th February 2012 and it is required to be reinvested immediately.
According to given quotation offered by different banks, this amount will be invested in Faisal Bank on the basis of maximum rate of profit offered. The cases of officers who are under indictment will be given to Executive Committee and Audit and Accounts Committee.
It is decided that every regional director will be assigned to focus on 04 selected union councils in remote areas for achieving a target of 100% enrolment of school age children for creating a visible impact. Criteria for selection of teachers will be B.A, BSC and where graduates are not available there intermediate teachers will be selected after proper interviewing. Federal Minister and Chairman of the BoG said that from now onwards there will not be one-man show and even he will not be able to take any decision without the consent of BoG.
Proposal of rationalisation of Basic Education Community Schools (BECS) project as directed by High Powered Committee of the Cabinet has been prepared for approval of BoG before its presentation to Planning Division. It is decided that auction of surplus vehicles will be taken place after the proper advertisement in different newspapers.
It is told to Chairman of BoG that it has been constant issue that monitoring of BECS located in inaccessible areas of Balochistan, and FATA and the Chairman vest this responsibility to FATA and Balochistan Members of BoG to solve the problem immediately.
