President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized that the reforms process in FATA should be undertaken in consultation with all the stakeholders and in accordance with the wishes and customs of the people respecting their traditions. A briefing was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday with President Asif Ali Zardari in chair to review progress on various development projects in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and the ongoing reforms process to bring the people of the area into the mainstream of national life. The meeting reviewed implementation status of the amendments in the FCR signed last year by the President on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations. The meeting was attended among others by Governor Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Barrister Masood Kausar, Law Minister Farooq H. Naek, Secretary General M. Salman Faruqui, Spokesman to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar, Senator Sardar Ali, Additional Chief Secretary FATA Dr. Tashfeen Khan, Secretary SAFRON Habibullah Khan and other officials.
