Participation of all stakeholders must for successful peace talks: Mian Iftikhar

Information Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and leader of Awami National Party (ANP) Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that Pakistan, Afghanistan and NATO are the main stakeholders in the region and no negotiations will prove successful until all stake holders are taken into confidence on the issue.

He stated this while speaking during a news conference before the commencement of the All Parties Conference (ANP) convened by the ANP here on Thursday.
The ANP leader said that on the occasion of Valentine’s Day and he and his party wanted to spread the message of love and peace.
Mian Iftikhar said that almost 26 important political parties except Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamat-e-Islami (JI) were participating in the closed door conference.
He claimed that it will be a service for the nation if the All Parties Conference proves successful in defining a roadmap to bring peace and stability in the country.
The ANP leader further applauded the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman who is in Qatar for holding talks with the Afghan Taliban.
“We welcome all negotiations held for maintaining peace in the region,” he added.
